Press & Media

Everything journalists and analysts need to cover RakuAI.

Company Overview

RakuAI is an AI-native spatial game engine that generates interactive 3D experiences at real GPS coordinates from natural language. Founded in 2012, the company holds five granted US patents covering AI game generation, dual-device AR interaction, and location-based experiences.

The platform serves five markets from 9,500+ REST API endpoints (across 17 subsystem routers) backed by 10,328 native engine functions: tourism AR (TimeLens), enterprise training (SafeSpace), fitness gaming (TrailQuest), developer tools (RakuForge API), and defense/public safety (TacView). The engine spans 18 native DLLs covering physics simulation, spatial audio, AI agent behavior trees, on-device ML, multiplayer networking, and GPS-anchored world persistence.

In the News

RakuAI was recently highlighted in AR Insider's coverage of adaptive, intelligent, local AR gaming.

What You Can Build

Example Applications

  • Historical AR tours where AI NPCs in period costume guide visitors through real locations
  • Fire department training simulations using photorealistic 3D models of actual buildings
  • Fitness quest games where walking pace determines combat outcomes
  • Tower defense games overlaid on real streets
  • 3D tactical overlays for law enforcement operations

How It Works (High Level)

  1. Create a world anchored to GPS coordinates
  2. Ingest real-world 3D geometry from Google Maps
  3. Place interactive entities at real locations
  4. Add AI-powered NPCs with personality and memory
  5. Run physics, spatial audio, and multiplayer
  6. Players experience it through their phone's camera
